Making the Meme:

Adding the Photos and Adjusting the Layers:

I started making the meme by bringing in all three photos of Carole Baskin from the Netflix limited series 'Tiger King',  Dr. Fauci alongside POTUS during a COVID-19 briefing, and an original image selfie of my friends and I. Using the quick select tool, I isolated and made layer masks of Dr. Fauci and one of my friends to put behind Carole Baskin in the image. Then, I selected and masked just the outline of Carole's body to bring her to the foreground of the image.

After making Dr. Fauci and my friend smart objects, I was able to add adjustment layers just to each of those images to make them fit in with the entire image. I did this by adding some brightness to Fauci and by adding a slight blur to my friend. 

Adding Text

I added the text to the meme by creating two text boxes along the top and bottom of the image and then evenly typing out the copy on each line. To give it a meme feel, I used the Impact typeface and also added a stroke effect to the text to make it easily readable.

Conclusion

In conclusion, the most helpful videos for me to make the meme were the preparing and merging the layer videos. Learning the quick select tool when creating masks was helpful and was much easier than painting all around an image. Getting an introduction to smart objects was neat too, and I am excited to learn more about using that feature of Photoshop
